CIW ATTACKED SECOND TIME
CIW
The Division of Workers' Compensation (DWC), Texas Department of Insurance (TDI), is again attempting to
silence CIW in order for employees injured on the job to face uncaring and abusive workers' compensation
insurance adjusters and luke warm support from the workers' compensation staff.  By preventing CIW the ability to
provide education, training, and guidance to employees injured in the course and scope of employment who
cannot get attorney representation because their case has been immediately denied or delayed by an insurance
adjuster therefore the injured worker, who has no indemnity benefits to pay the attorney, worker faces an inferior
bargaining position and unjust results when they are confronted by high power, high paid, vicious insurance
carrier attorneys.

Unprotected and unrepresented Injured workers in Texas need Texans and the news media to come to their aid
by speaking up for fair, equitable, and just benefits for the injured worker and his/her family.  It is time for fair-
minded Texans to speak up and protest this abuse of injured workers.  Silence is not an option.  As the English
Philosopher Edmund Burke said, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
Stand up, take action, and help injured workers be treated in a humane and reasonable manner.

On the next pages are copies of the faxes sent to DWC Commissioner Rod Bordelon regarding the second
attempt to illegally silence CIW and prohibit injured workers from their only source to be educated, trained, and
guided through the complex Texas Workers' Compensation System.
